" One of the most essential things you need to do for yourself is to choose a goal that is important to you. Perfection does not exist-- you can always do better and you can always grow." - Les Brown
The Ending:
at last
all the nights with no sleep
at last
all the cries and stress
at last
all the days studying the history of our world
at last
we can say we made it
at last
we understand it was all worth it
About Me:
My name is Victoria; I am from San Diego, CA taking APWH in my second year of high school. I live with my mother, and have 2 older brothers, and have 3 nephews and 2 nieces. However, it seems as if I was an only child because my mom and I live alone. My goal is to be successful in life and earn my bachelors as well as my masters degree, as I will be the first in my family to do so. I will have to admit, I thought twice about taking the course. Everything I had heard about by students in the past made it sound scary, saying how hard it was, how intelligent you have to be in order to get an A in the class. In fact, I remember it being the last week of my freshman year and I had selected World History Accelerated, I did not believe I was capable of passing the AP class. However, just 2 days before school ending I decided to go to my counselor and change my class. I didn’t want an easy class, what was going to be the point? I wanted something challenging, to prepare me for college level classes, so then I took the big step and challenged myself and now at the end of this course I am proud to say I am ending this class with an A and do not regret taking this class.
Purpose:
Being the last assignment, the Portfolio, I think the purpose of this assignment is to reflect on how much we as students have grown and look back to all the things we have learned with Mr. Rodriguez and use it in the near future.
